In 1996, Mr. Jacob Francis De Silva (Richy) of Bangalore contacted the Vincentian Provincial house at Kottayam and expressed his readiness to donate 30000 sq ft (120x250) of land to the Vincentians to start a prayer cum retreat center. The then Provincial Superior Fr. Mathew Thoyalil accepted the land and established the Vincentian Ashram at Babusahibpalaya, Bangalore - 43. Then the Province purchased four more plots measuring nearly 10,000 sq ft in the same year. Fr. John Alolichalil was appointed as Priest in-charge of the place and the Province erected and established the Vincentian Ashram and Logos Retreat Centre as canonical entities with the approval of the Archbishop of Bangalore in 1997. Fr. Arolichail tried his best to develop the land and the center. Later he was also appointed as the first Superior of the Vincentian Ashram. On 15th August, 2010, the headquarters of the St. Xavier's Region was shifted from Chennai to Bangalore while Fr. George Vettaprambil was the Regional Superior. Now, the Vincentian Ashram is also known as the Regional House of the St. Xavier's Region.

At present, the Syro-Malabar Parish here has more than 600 families. On Sundays there are three Malayalam Masses in our premise and there is a Malayalam Mass in a nursing school called Faran. There are two regular English Masses on Sundays at 6 AM and at 5.30 PM and Tamil Mass at 4 PM. In addition to these there will be retreat Mass and sometimes there may be Mass in the Family units in connection with their annual day. Catechism, youth class etc. are being conducted. Pious associations are active in the parish. There are 22 family units and about 350 catechism students in the parish.

In the Logos Retreat Centre, we have regular retreats in English, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. We have 4 English Retreats in every month. On all the third weeks of the month there is a special retreat for Priests and Religious. Sometimes diocesan priests and their bishops come in for their exclusive retreats. 24 hour perpetual adoration and intercessory prayers are conducted every day. At 3.00 Divine Mercy chaplet and adoration together with the proclamation of the Word of God is conducted. About 200 people are given meals on Fridays. There are one day conventions on Fridays in Kannada and on Saturdays in English. There is afternoon Bible convention on Sundays in Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi. The centre arranges the Logos Fellowship Day in connection with St. Vincent De Paul's feast. Around 700 benefactors participate in it. On 26th January every year, a day of prayer is arranged in Logos for all (from LKG to PHD) students as a preparation for their examinations. The bi-monthly Logos Voice, the official publication of Logos Retreat Center, was released on 26th September, 2010 and now it has nearly 2500 regular subscriptions and another 2500 is being sold out in bulk for evangelization purpose.

We have a Divine Mercy Home here to take care of those benefactors who contributed to the development our retreat centre or the Divine Mercy Home and no body to take care of them. Now there are two inmates. There are 14 attached rooms and 4 suits having a kitchen and an attached room.

The nearby St. Mary's Syro Malabar Parish Ramamoorthy Nagar is entrusted to us. There are 160 families in this parish. The newly constructed Parish Church was consecrated on September 23, 2017 by His Excellency Mar Antony Kariyil (Bishop of Syro Malabar Catholic Diocese of Mandya).
