The mission in Ron was begun in the year 2000 at the request of Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Mores, the then Bishop of Belgaum Diocese. He had asked the then Provincial Rev. Fr. Abraham Kanjirakonam to start a mission centre in one of the thalukkas (taluks) where there is no catholic representation. We were given three choices of the places such as Navalgundh, Nragundh, and Ron. After all the study and research, we decided to open a school in Ron, Gadag district of Karnataka. In the year 2000 Rev. Fr. John Arolichalil bought the 8 acres of the land on the road side of the Ron-Hubli road at the request of the then Provincial Rev. Fr. Abraham Kanjirakonam. Rev. Fr. Thomas Ouseparambil was the first priest to be sent to this mission and was assisted by Fr. Robert Chavarananickal who had served as a regent. In 2002 Rev. Fr. Thomas Palackattu was appointed in charge of the Ron mission. He came and stayed in the rented building and put fencing and started farming in the 8 acres of the land. He was assisted by Fr. Antony Chirackal as a regent. From 2005 onwards there were no priests here. Fathers from Hubli looked after the mission.

In 2008, December Rev. Fr. Sebastian Kanjookaran was appointed in charge of Ron mission and appointed as the Principal for the proposed school. In 2009 March, Rev. Fr. Joseph Vallath also was sent to Ron mission. They opened a kindergarten in Ron in a rented building. In 2011 we got permission to open a primary school from 1st standard till 5th standard. In 2012, Fr. Joseph Vallath, the administrator was replaced by Rev. Fr. Varghese Thakarappillil. In 2015 June 1, the new school building was opened in our own premises and shifted our school to new building. Rev. Dr. Peter Machado, the Bishop of Belguam diocese blessed our school and the new school building was inaugurated and opened by Rev. Fr. George Arackal, the provincial superior of St. Joseph Province. In 2015 May Bro. Vinod Jacob was sent as the regent of the house and for the B.Ed. studies. In 2016, Fr. Clement Kodakallil was sent to the mission as the administrator and the teacher. In April 2016, Fr. Joji Kanjookaran was transferred. In 2016 Fr. Varghese Thakarappillil was transferred to Chennai. Fr. Bijoy Kizhakkethottam was appointed as the Principal in the year 2016 May 16.
