A Joyous Milestone of Grace: Bro. James Neendoor VC (Alex) Ordained to the Sacred Order of the Diaconate

 

With hearts filled with gratitude and joy, the Vincentian Congregation rejoiced as Bro. James Neendoor VC (Alex) was ordained to the Sacred Order of the Diaconate on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Leopoldinum Priester seminary, Heiligenkreuz, Vienna. The sacred ordination was conferred by His Grace Mar Mathew Moolakkattu, who called the newly ordained deacon to a life of faithful service, humble ministry, and the joyful proclamation of the Gospel. The solemn liturgical celebration was a grace-filled occasion for the entire seminary community and the Vincentian family.

The celebration was honored by the presence of our Provincial Superior, Fr. Sebastian Thundathikunnel VC, Seminary Director Fr. Martin Leitner, and Assistant Director Fr. Laurentius, together with Vincentian confreres from Mischendorf and the Berlin community. Also joining the celebration were the fathers and brothers of our seminary, benefactors, relatives, friends, and the students and staff of our university. Their prayerful presence made the occasion even more meaningful, reflecting the spirit of unity, fraternity, and communion that characterizes our Vincentian family.

Following the ordination, everyone gathered for a fellowship dinner, where the joy of the day continued in an atmosphere of thanksgiving, fraternity, and celebration. It provided a wonderful opportunity to share in the happiness of the newly ordained deacon and to offer thanks to God for the precious gift of his vocation.

The ordination of Bro. James Neendoor VC (Alex) marks a significant milestone not only in his personal journey of faith but also in the life of our Congregation. As he begins his ministry as a deacon, we entrust him to the loving providence of God and seek the intercession of St. Vincent de Paul. May his life become an inspiring witness to the Gospel, and may he serve the Church with humility, compassion, and unwavering dedication.
