A voice that echoed faith, a pen that touched souls : Honouring Rev. Fr. Michael Panachikal

Rev. Fr. Michael Panachikal was honoured during the Family Day celebration as he completes five graceful decades in writing Christian devotional songs. It was fifty years ago that his first song, “Nithyatha Theerkunna Nimishangalil,” flowed from his pen, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey in sacred music.

Rev. Fr. Tony Plavunilkunnathil presented a vivid account of his inspiring life, highlighting his multifaceted contributions. He is a man of many talents, having written numerous devotional songs, stories for films and dramas, produced films, and even undertaken the remarkable task of recording the entire Bible in audio format.

On this special occasion, his new Malayalam book was officially released. In addition, first episode of documentary on his music life journey was uploaded on the Province’s YouTube channel, “SAN JOSE VOX.” The Province extends its heartfelt congratulations to Rev. Fr. Michael Panachikal, thanking God for his inspiring legacy and praying for many more fruitful years of service through his gifted ministry.
