As in previous years, we solemnly inaugurated the new academic year on19thJuly 2025 at 6:30PM, entrusting ourselves to the providence of God. The inauguration ceremony unfolded in the gracious presence of our esteemed guests, marking a spiritually enriching and momentous beginning. Very Rev. Fr. Sebastian Thundathikunnel VC, Provincial Superior of the St. Joseph Province, graced the occasion as the chief guest. It was his first official visit to the seminary, and he was accorded a grand and heartfelt welcome. In his deeply inspiring address, he reflected on the vital role of seminary formation, encouraging us to embrace our spiritual and intellectual journey with renewed commitment. His message resonated deeply with all present. As a gesture of our respect and gratitude, he was honoured with a ponnada. The presidential address was delivered by Fr. Ullas Vattamthottiyil VC. A highlight of the celebration was a touching tribute to Mr. Martin, our beloved Economics teacher, in recognition of his 25 years of dedicated and selfless service to the Vincentian Minor Seminary, Pala. His steadfast commitment and quiet influence have profoundly shaped generations of our seminarians. Fr. George Kizhakkanputhuppillil VC offered a heartfelt homage, recalling Martin Sir’s invaluable contribution to the life and mission of our congregation. The solemnity of the event was elevated by the presence of our confreres from neighbouring houses and members of various religious communities, including Rev. Sr. Sneha, Mother General of the St. Martha’s Congregation, and Rev. Sr. Agnet, Provincial Superior of the Pala Province of the DST Congregation, along with our dedicated teachers. The evening concluded with vibrant cultural performances by our seminarians, whose enthusiasm and creativity added colour, joy, and youthful energy to the celebration, leaving us all inspired and united as we embark on a new academic journey.
