Marking another milestone in the women empowerment initiatives of Madona ITI and Vincentian Social Services, a new venture has been launched under the leadership of Fr. Tony Kuthiramattom. The Anchilippa Labourers Industrial Cooperative Society (ALICOS) was formed with the goal of creating employment opportunities for women and promoting growth in the industrial and cooperative sectors. The society, which currently consists of 60 members, was inaugurated by Kanjirapally Circle Cooperative Union Chairman, P. Satheesh Chandran Nair. The inaugural meeting was presided over by Fr. George Poonatt, Councilor, Social Welfare and Development Department. Industrial Extension Officer K. K. Faisal spoke about the possibilities and future prospects of such cooperative societies. Around 100 members and well-wishers attended the event, which featured various cultural performances organized by the society members under the leadership of Mrs. Aniamma Joy, Promoter of the Society.
