By building strong volunteering networks, we can inspire collective action to promote the well-being of people and the planet. Our De Care Community @Kanjirappilly recently organized Dosth.2 for migrant laborers working in various factories in and around the town. The program witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 80 migrant workers and was a testament to the power of collaboration and community engagement.
We partnered with key organizations, including Kerala State AIDS Control Society (KSACS), Indian Dental Association (IDA), Mary Queen Hospital, Kanjirappilly, and the Excise Department, to conduct free medical and dental camps along with awareness sessions.
Highlights of the program were; Hygiene awareness classes, Free distribution of hygiene kits, Participation certificates for attendees. The event was a resounding success! The participants were excited to attend the sessions and expressed a strong desire to continue being part of our network. We are deeply grateful to Frs Cherian Pulikunnel, Tony Kuthiramattom, our partners and volunteers for making Dosth.2 impactful and meaningful.
