Diaconate and Sub- Diaconate Ordinations of Vincentian Seminarians at Heiligenkreuz

During his pastoral visit to Europe, Mar Jose Pulickal, Bishop of Kanjirapally, visited Heiligenkreuz Abbey, Austria, where he conferred the Diaconate and Sub-Diaconate to three  of our Seminarians studying at the Leopoldinum Seminary, Heiligenkreuz.

Bro. Thomas Puthiyedathu was ordained to the Diaconate, while Bro. Thobiyas Anthikad and Bro. Joseph Kalappurackal received the Sub-Diaconate respectively. The celebration took place in the seminary chapel on 9th October 2025.

The solemn liturgy was graced by the presence of Rev. Fr. Sebastian Thundathikunnel, Provincial Superior of the St. Joseph Province, who served as Archdeacon, and was attended by Vincentian priests from houses far and near, seminary formators, Indian priests from nearby regions, seminarians, and other guests.The occasion was marked by deep prayer, joy, and gratitude, as the community rejoiced in witnessing these brothers take an important step in their vocational journey. Let us continue praying for them in their journey to Priesthood.
