Eight Years of Grace: Vincentian Mission Nepal Heals the Hearts and Build the Faith

 

The Vincentian Mission in Nepal marked a significant milestone, completing eight years of evangelization on July 3, the Feast of St. Thomas the Apostle. This anniversary holds special meaning as St. Thomas, the patron saint of missionaries, inspires the congregation's continued dedication to spreading the Gospel in the Nepal Vicariate.

The celebration continued on July 4 with a one-day healing service at the Vincentian Evangelization Centre in Dharan, drawing faithful from Sircia, Bharoul, Baibari, and Dharan. The event was a profound spiritual gathering, bringing together communities from across the region for a day of prayer, healing, and renewal.

The day began with the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and the recitation of the Holy Rosary, led by Fr. Nirmal Kummamkottil VC, Director of the Vincentian Evangelisation Centre. The faithful immersed themselves in prayer, preparing their hearts for the graces to come. Fr. Joseph Palackal VC delivered an inspiring spiritual talk as the main preacher, focusing on God's healing love and the call to mission. His words were followed by powerful reflections from Br. Dhano, who shared the power of Jesus word.

Following a fellowship lunch that fostered community bonding, the congregation gathered for Eucharistic Adoration led by Fr. Joseph Palackal, creating a sacred atmosphere of contemplation and intimacy with the Lord. The healing service culminated in the celebration of the Holy Mass, presided over by Fr. Nirmal Kummamkottil VC and concelebrated by Fr. Antony and Fr. Joseph, bringing the day to a spiritually enriching conclusion.

The community expressed profound gratitude to all missionaries, benefactors, and faithful who have supported this journey of faith and service.
