Emmaus Retreat Centre, Kolkata

 

The eyes the faithful were well up to tears of joy, the hearts of who meditated on the design was filled with indescribable delight and those who entered burst with awe and wonder … that how we would like to describe the scenes we witnessed at Emmaus retreat Centre as we have blessed our perpetual adoration chapel on the 8th December. Fr. George Arackal, the mission superior of Mother Teresa Mission with his insatiable zeal and love for God blessed the perpetual adoration chapel after Holy Mass. we were blessed with the presence of our beloved priests and religious from nearby parishes and religious communities. The homily delivered by Fr. Gregory Monteiro, the parish priest of Christ the King, had set fire on the hearts of the faithful on the need of staying close to Christ and be a witness to Him. The joyous presence of benefactors and well-wishers was an encouraging reminder of the people who are thirsty for the presence of Christ in their lives. After the blessing of perpetual chapel Fr. Philip Kurinjiparambil VC, the assistant director, along with other priests present in procession carried the Blessed sacrament to the perpetual adoration chapel. Fr. Sam Koonamplackil VC, the director thanked the gathering and encouraged the faithful to come and adore the Lord.
