First Fruit of Project VinNest: A Jubilee Housing Initiative Bringing Hope

As part of the 125th (Quasquicentennial) Jubilee celebrations of the Vincentian Congregation, the St. Joseph Province marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of the first completed house under Project VinNest, a Jubilee Housing Initiative dedicated to providing safe and dignified homes for deserving families.

Project VinNest is one of the flagship initiatives of the Jubilee celebrations. Through this project, the Province aims to construct 40 houses during the Jubilee period (2026–2029), reflecting the Congregation's enduring commitment to the Gospel values of charity, compassion, and service to those in need.

The inaugural ceremony was held at Parithrana Retreat Centre, where the completed house was formally handed over to the beneficiary family. In a simple yet meaningful ceremony, Very Rev. Fr. Sebastian Thundathikunnel VC, Provincial Superior of the St. Joseph Province, along with Rev. Fr. Thomas Cheruvil VC, Councillor for Finance and Construction, presented the symbolic key of the newly completed house to the family. The occasion was marked by prayers, gratitude, and joy as the family received the keys to their new home.

The completion of this house is the first fruit of Project VinNest and marks the beginning of a larger mission to build the remaining thirty-nine houses in the years ahead. More than the inauguration of a building, the occasion celebrated the gift of hope, the dignity of a secure home, and the Vincentian Congregation's continuing mission to stand with those in need.
