Fr. Dilvin Kureekattil, the new South African Missionary

Rev. Fr. Dilvin Kureekattil arrived safely in Cape Town on the evening of July 4, 2025. He was received from the airport by Fr. Manu and two other Pallotine priests from India. The following day, July 5, he travelled to Oudtshoorn and began his stay with the Bishop of the Diocese of Oudtshoorn, who warmly welcomed him and provided opportunities to gain a preliminary understanding of the life and liturgy of the Diocese.During his initial week, Fr. Dilvin accompanied the Bishop on various pastoral visits, allowing him to experience firsthand the spirit and diversity of the diocese.On July 13, the Bishop officially brought Fr. Dilvin to St. Mary’s Catholic Church and introduced him to the community. He was formally appointed as the Assistant Parish Priest of St. Mary’s and St. Liborius Catholic Churches. Now there is a Vincentian Community formed in the South African mission.
