Inauguration of New Residential Building at Logos Retreat Centre, Bengaluru

A significant milestone in spiritual administration was achieved as the new residential building at the Logos Retreat Centre in Babusahibpalya was formally blessed and inaugurated on Saturday, 15^th August.  The auspicious ceremony along with Solemn Holy Eucharist was graced by His Grace Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Bangalore, who presided over the solemn blessing ceremony. The official ribbon-cutting and formal inauguration were performed by Rev. Dr. Sebastian Thundathikunnel VC, the Provincial Superior. During the blessing, Archbishop Peter Machado emphasized the vital role of retreat centres as spiritual sanctuaries in a fast-paced urban environment, offering individuals an intentional space to pause, pray, and seek deeper communion with God. He commended the Vincentian congregation and the local administrative teams for their continuous efforts in delivering pastoral care and robust spiritual renewal to the community. The newly constructed residential infrastructure is designed to accommodate the growing number of faithful attending the five-day residential retreats. The milestone event drew a large gathering of local clergy, religious sisters, community leaders, and hundreds of the faithful who arrived to witness the expansion of the facility. A special vote of thanks was expressed by Fr. Jose Vettiyankal VC, Director of Logos Retreat Centre, to all the leadership heads who helped establish this centre for evangelisation. He warmly acknowledged the vital contributions of Fr. Sijo Kuttikkattu VC (Regional Superior of St. Xavier’s Region), Fr. Antony Thachethukudy VC (Administrator of Logos Retreat Centre), and all the contractors and labourers whose hard work made the project possible.
