Parents of 14 Deacons Gather for Special Meet at Vincentian Provincial House

The parents of the 14 deacons of St. Joseph Province who are preparing for priestly ordination in the upcoming months of December and January gathered at the Vincentian Provincial House, Kottayam, on 16 November for a meaningful day of prayer, guidance, and fellowship.

The meeting unfolded in a peaceful and spiritually enriching atmosphere. The day began with an hour of adoration and prayer in the chapel, uniting all in gratitude and hope as their sons prepare to receive the sacred gift of priesthood. Following the prayer session, Rev. Fr. Sebastian Thundathikunnel VC, Provincial Superior, addressed the gathering. In his thoughtful message, he emphasized the significant and continuing role of parents in spiritually accompanying their sons on their journey to priesthood. He warmly acknowledged their faith, sacrifices, and unwavering support throughout the years of formation.

Fr. Provincial also provided clear instructions and practical guidelines regarding the upcoming ordination ceremonies, helping the parents prepare well for these blessed celebrations. The gathering concluded with a prayer of thanksgiving, after which lunch was served. Filled with spiritual encouragement and joy, the parents dispersed with hearts full of gratitude as they look forward to the ordination of their sons.
