Report on the Mission Gathering of Mother Teresa Mission – 2026

The Mission Gathering of Mother Teresa Mission was held from 12th to 14th January 2026 at the FMA Convent, Kurseong, in the Darjeeling District. The gathering brought together all 15 missionaries serving in the Mother Teresa Mission.

The event was honored by the presence of Rev. Fr. Sebastian Thundathikunnel, Provincial Superior, and Rev. Fr. Thomas Cheruvil from the Provincial House. Rev. Fr. George Arackal, the Superior of Mother Teresa Mission, was also present and actively participated in the gathering.

A meaningful input session was conducted by Rev. Fr. Babu, SDB, Principal of Salesian College. His session was very enriching, as he shared his valuable experiences in missionary work and evangelization. The program also included the presentation of mission reports, group discussions, and moments of sharing, which helped the participants reflect on their mission and strengthen their commitment.

The gathering was spiritually enriched through Holy Eucharistic Adoration. The addresses delivered by the Mission Superior and the Provincial Superior provided guidance, encouragement, and clear direction for the future of the mission.

A one-day outing to the Himalayas, along with a campfire, added moments of fellowship, relaxation, and joy among the participants.

The Mission Gathering concluded on the morning of 14th January 2026 with a solemn celebration of the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Rev. Fr. Provincial Superior.
