Requiem Mass of Rev. Fr. Jacob Athickal VC

The Requiem Mass for Rev. Fr. Jacob Athickal VC was held on Saturday, 15th November 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Parithrana Retreat Centre, Adichira. The celebration brought together relatives, confreres, and well-wishers in a spirit of faith and fellowship to honour his memory.The Holy Mass was solemnly celebrated with Rev. Fr. Provincial Superior, Rev. Fr. Sebastian Thundathikunnel VC, as the main celebrant. He was joined by Rev. Fr. Jomon Kaippadakunnel VC, General Councillor, and Rev. Fr. Mathew Kakkattupillil VC concelebrated the Mass.During the Eucharistic celebration, Rev. Fr. Mathew Kakkattupillil VC delivered a meaningful and touching homily, recalling the many invaluable contributions of Rev. Fr. Jacob Athickal to the Congregation, the ministry, and the people he served with great dedication.Following the Holy Mass, the Office for the Dead was prayerfully recited at the Cemetery Chapel. Members of the Athickal family, along with numerous well-wishers, took part in the service, offering prayers and paying their respects with deep love and gratitude.The gathering reflected the unity of the community in remembering a beloved confrere whose life of service continues to inspire.
