Requiem Mass of Rev. Fr. Joseph Nediyakalayil VC

 

The Requiem Mass of Rev. Fr. Joseph Nediyakalayil VC was solemnly celebrated on Thursday, 11 December 2025, at the Parithrana Retreat Centre, Adichira. The Holy Mass was celebrated with Rev. Fr. George Poonattu VC, Councillor for Mission and Charitable Works, as the main celebrant. In his homily, Fr. George reflected on the God-given mission fulfilled through the simple and humble life of Fr. Joseph Nediyakalayil, especially during the initial formative phase of the province, highlighting his deep faith, dedication, and silent service.

Following the Holy Mass, the Office for the Dead was led by Rev. Fr. Jose Kallppura VC. A large number of relatives, confreres, and well-wishers gathered to prayerfully remember their beloved “Ouseppachan” and to offer their final respects in gratitude for his life of committed priestly ministry.
