Retreats in Zambia by Vincentian Fathers

Retreats in Zambia by Vincentian Fathers

The Zambian Province of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. John the Baptist prayerfully observed their annual retreats from January 28 to February 10, held in two batches at Kitwe, Zambia. The retreats were preached by Frs. Augustine Mundackatt and Manu Karingattuparambil. Around 105 sisters took part in the retreat. The retreat was also in preparation for their upcoming Provincial Synaxis.

The sisters were gathered in an atmosphere of silence, prayer and attentive listening to the Word of God. Through guided meditations, Eucharistic celebrations and personal meditation the retreat sessions focused on strengthening their consecration, fostering interior renewal and deepening their fidelity to the charisms of the Congregation in the context of today’s pastoral challenges. A special one-day retreat was exclusively organized for the Aspirants, Postulants, and Novices tailored to their stage of formation.

In addition to the retreats for the sisters and the formees a few parish retreats were also conducted in a couple of parishes around Kitwe. These parish retreats were marked by huge participation of people and the Lord blessed them with great signs of miracles and healings.
