Sacerdotal Jubilee Celebration Held in St. Joseph’s Province

The Sacerdotal Jubilee Celebration of our beloved priests of the Vincentian Congregation was held with great joy and gratitude at Parithrana Retreat Centre on 13 September 2026, hosted by St. Joseph’s Province. The celebration brought together three Golden Jubilarians and seven Silver Jubilarians, along with their family members, confreres, and well-wishers. The presence of the family members of the Silver Jubilarians added special warmth and colour to the occasion.

The celebration began with a solemn Holy Mass concelebrated by the jubilarians. Rev. Fr. Ebin Neeruvelil was the main celebrant, while Rev. Fr. Samuel Kanathukadu delivered the homily. Reflecting on the gift and mission of priesthood, the celebration became a fitting occasion to thank God for the years of dedicated priestly service rendered by the jubilarians.

Following the Holy Mass, a group photograph was taken, after which the felicitation meeting was held. Rev. Fr. Sebastian Thundathikunnel, Provincial Superior, warmly welcomed the jubilarians and extended his greetings and felicitations on behalf of St. Joseph’s Province.

The three Golden Jubilarians were then introduced and felicitated by Rev. Fr. George Arackal Sr. As a token of the Province’s love, gratitude, and appreciation, gifts were presented to the Golden Jubilarians. The seven Silver Jubilarians were subsequently introduced and felicitated by Rev. Fr. Jomon Karottukizhakkel. They too were presented with gifts as tokens of love and congratulations from the Province.

Adding further joy and beauty to the celebration, the minor seminarians of the Vincentian Minor Seminary, Palai, presented a beautiful Jubilee song in honour of the jubilarians.

The felicitation meeting was followed by an Agape meal, which provided a joyful opportunity for the jubilarians, their family members, and the confreres to come together in a spirit of fraternity, sharing, and thanksgiving. The coming together of the jubilarians, their beloved family members, and a large number of confreres beautifully expressed the fraternal bond, gratitude, and affection of the Vincentian family.
