Stone Laid for the New Retreat Centre at Moira, Goa

A long-cherished dream of St. Joseph Province to establish a well-equipped spiritual space in the land of Goa has taken its first step towards reality with the laying of the foundation stone for the new Retreat Centre facility at Moira, Goa.

On October 30, 2026, Very Rev. Fr. Sebastian Thundathikunnel VC, Provincial Superior, laid the foundation stone, marking the beginning of this significant project. Rev. Fr. Thomas Cheruvil VC, Councillor for Finance and Construction, was present on the occasion, along with well-wishers.

As the Province embarks on this new venture, we seek the prayers and support of all our confreres and well-wishers. Let us remember this project in our daily prayers, asking the Lord to bless the construction, provide the necessary resources in due time, and enable its completion as planned. The canonical visit was also conducted on 28 and 29 October 2026 at Vincentian House, Goa. The visit encouraged the confreres to move forward with renewed enthusiasm and a more positive outlook, as their long-cherished dream of establishing a spacious retreat centre is now beginning to take shape.
