Superiors’ Meet 2025 Held at Vincentian Provincial House, Kottayam

The Superiors’ Meet 2025 of St. Joseph Province was held on 14 November 2025 at the Vincentian Provincial House, Kottayam. The half-day gathering brought together the superiors of various communities for moments of meaningful discussion, reflection, and open sharing.

The meeting began with an inaugural session in which Very Rev. Fr. Paul Puthuva VC, Superior General, and Rev. Fr. Sebastian Thundathikunnel VC, Provincial Superior, addressed the assembly. In his message, Very Rev. Fr. Paul Puthuva highlighted the pivotal role of a superior in Vincentian community life. He creatively explained the responsibilities of a superior by interpreting each letter of the word “SUPERIOR,” emphasising the essential qualities required to faithfully and effectively carry out this mission-oriented leadership. Following this, Rev. Fr. Sebastian Thundathikunnel, Provincial Superior, delivered his address. He focused on the duties and obligations entrusted to superiors, drawing attention to the Statutes and Practical Norms of the Congregation. His talk served as a reminder of the core expectations and spiritual responsibilities that guide the leaders of the communities.

After a short tea break, the meeting entered its second phase—an open forum for discussion. Superiors shared updates about major developments in their respective communities, as well as the challenges of community life in the contemporary context. The gathering concluded successfully at 1:30 PM, marking yet another step toward strengthening unity, leadership, and commitment within the Vincentian communities.
