Vincentian Social Services Annual General Body Meeting

The Vincentian Social Services (De Care) convened its annual General Body Meeting on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the Vincentian Provincial House in Kottayam. This significant event, which took place from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, gathered Social Work Directors, De Care Community Volunteers, and General Body Members for a day of review, inspiration, and collaboration.

The assembly was graced by the presence of Provincial Fr. Sebastian Thundathikunnel, whose participation added "more colour" and official significance to the proceedings. A core element of the program was the insightful contribution of P.U. Thomas, the esteemed founder of the Navajeevan Trust, who served as the Resource Person and offered his expertise and inspiration to all attendees.

In the business section of the meeting, Fr. George Pallickamyalil formally presented the Annual Report of the Vincentian Social Services, detailing the organization’s progress, challenges, and future direction. The final session, which focused on community engagement and was led by Fr. George Poonattu, featured a dedicated segment for the Sharing of De Care Communities, allowing local groups to exchange practical experiences and best practices.

The successful meeting concluded promptly at 2:00 pm with a sumptuous meal for all participants.
