Vincentian Social Services - "Project Sona Lipi"

Sona Lipi, one of the finest projects of Vincentian social services, is empowering the futures of the children through education. Through our SONA LIPI project, we are committed to reducing school dropouts, eliminating child labour, and promoting the holistic well-being of children in Chowdarigach village, West Bengal. We are delighted to share that our recently launched non-formal learning system is now providing daily education to around 40 children, many of whom had previously been excluded from formal education systems. Recognizing the vital role of families in a child’s educational journey, we also conducted a special awareness session for parents in the village. The session focused on the importance of education, long-term benefits for their children, and how community support can transform lives. We great fully remember Fr. Xavier and Fr. Arun Mattappillil for their selfless services. This collective effort is not just about literacy—it is about empowerment, dignity, and hope.
